Tethering times
Tie any set of times together so they always move as one.
Tethers tie times together across strips: lunch always ends when the afternoon block starts, a move always begins at camera wrap, three departments always flip at the same moment. Tethered times share one value and one color, and editing any of them moves the whole group.
It clicks the moment you do it once. Drag the glowing dot to tie Scene 7's end to Lunch, then drag the end time and watch Lunch follow:
Try it — tether two times
Drag the glowing green dot from Scene 7’s end onto Lunch’s start to tie them together. After that, moving one moves the other.
On desktop
- Look beside a strip's start and end times: each has a small faint link dot that brightens on hover (and takes its group's color once tethered).
- Drag the dot onto another strip's time. Dropping on the left half of the time cell ties to that strip's start, the right half to its end.
- The tethered times snap to one shared value and take the group's color.
- Click a dot to pop that one time out of its group; the rest stay linked.
- Shift-click a dot to dissolve the whole group at once.
- Groups can hold more than two times. Drag more dots in and they inherit the group's color and value.
On phones
- Press and hold a strip's start or end time. A pill appears above it reading Tether to.
- Tap the pill. Candidate times across the schedule pulse.
- Tap the time you want to tie to. Done.
Hold an already-tethered time and the pill reads Untether instead.
How tethers interact with durations
A tether outranks a duration. Tether a strip's end to something and the end holds that shared time while the duration stretches to fit. Tether both of a strip's edges and its duration simply becomes the gap between them.
