Changing call times
What happens after the sheet is out: stale confirmations, updates, and re-confirms.
Call sheets change. Someone's call moves up, lunch slides, a location swaps. AllSheets is built around one rule for these moments: a confirmation belongs to the time the person actually confirmed, so if you change their time afterward, that confirmation goes stale until they see the new time.
What you see when a time goes stale
- The person's row breathes with an amber glow, their changed time pulses amber, and their paper plane throbs. Amber, everywhere, means confirmed something older.
- A small undo arrow appears beside the time. Click it to snap back to the time they confirmed, which clears the whole state.
- A dialog appears when you change a confirmed person's time: Notify them now, Ignore for now, or Undo the edit.
- If you try to leave the builder with unsent changes to confirmed times, AllSheets asks whether to send notifications first.
Sending the update
Send to that person (their paper plane) or use the Share menu, which offers Notify N people with call time changes and Send updates to everyone. Update emails are framed honestly: the subject reads Updated call time, the message says their time changed and asks them to confirm the new one. Sending an update resets their confirmation to awaiting, so your circles tell the truth about who has seen the current time.
What recipients see
Their live link shows a What Changed card at the top listing everything since the last send, with their own call time change lifted to the first line in bold. The confirm button asks them to confirm again.
Changing the General Call
People whose call equals the General Call follow it automatically when you change it. People with custom times do not move; instead, after you settle on the new call time, AllSheets asks once: move everyone by the same amount, or keep their custom times. New crew and talent always arrive at the current General Call (clients start without a time).
Common questions
- I changed a time but nobody was notified. Why?
- Editing the sheet never sends anything by itself. The live link updates silently, but confirmed people are only asked to re-confirm when you send them the update. The amber indicators exist to make sure you do.
- What if the change is trivial and I do not want re-confirms?
- Choose Ignore in the change dialog (per person), or simply do not send an update. Their link still shows the current sheet either way.
